Celebrate Peruvian Independence Day with Handmade Alfajores

July 22, 2008 - PRLog -- Split Bean Coffee invites you all to celebrate Peruvian Independence Day by indulging in one of our handmade alfajores. Select from one of our traditional flavors or enjoy one of our original creations.  

Traditionally Peruvians celebrate their independence from Spain on July 28th, other South American countries also celebrate around this time and it is a great excuse to enjoy traditional dishes and sweets, just like Americans enjoy a great BBQ on July 4th.

Split Bean Coffee is also pleased to inform all of you that during the months of July and August we will be donating one dollar from each order to a Peruvian Orphanage run by catholic sisters in Lima Peru.  This orphanage cares for abandoned children in Lima, Peru.  A lot of them are HIV Positive and are abandoned by their mothers at the doors of the orphanage.  The orphanage also cares for a small population of Senior Citizens that have no place to go.
