Greater New York Hospital Association And Noblis Announce Provider Agreement For Recall Management

July 20, 2008 - PRLog -- Noblis has entered into a 3-year agreement with the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA) to improve patient safety through RASMAS for its member hospitals.  RASMAS is a web-based service that automates the distribution, receipt, and tracking of product alerts and recalls. It provides centralized oversight and automated routing for alerts spanning all products used in the healthcare environment. The service will enable subscribing GNYHA member hospitals to readily see the status of each alert, and obtain summary statistics regarding close-out time.

“RASMAS subscribers typically decrease the time to manage alerts by 80%”, states Ann Magee, RN BSN, a founding member of the RASMAS service at Noblis.  “This is a dramatic improvement in the typical amount of time to manage alerts manually. By providing healthcare organizations with an electronic, profile driven alert system, RASMAS helps ensure that alerts are processed quickly and properly, promoting patient safety.”

Since 2004, RASMAS has been adopted by more than 400 subscribing healthcare organizations with over 8000 users.  Seven of the 2008 U.S. News and World Report’s Best Hospitals Honor Roll are RASMAS subscribers.
