International Dancing Preachers To Ignite Fires In Atlanta

National and International Dancing Preachers are set to converge on Atlanta, August 6th-10th. "So You Think You Can Dance" will have to take a back seat to the level of dance that will be displayed during this anointed, impactful conference.
 
July 15, 2008 - PRLog -- Dancing Preachers 2008 International Conference will converge on Atlanta, August 6, 2008 through August 10, 2008 at the Hilton Hotel, 255 Courland St, SE, Atlanta GA 30303.  The Conference is sure to ignite dancers to a new level of praise and worship in the dance.  Each year dancers from around the world gather to explore new techniques, learn from recognized ministries and to hear some of the world’s most prolific speakers.  This year’s Conference, “The Called-Out Ones”, will consist of over 40 workshops that include such titles as “So You Think You Can Dance Choreography” and “Kingdom Arts: Thinking Outside the Box”.  With over 1,000 registered national and international delegates, this year’s Conference will empower dancing preachers to go to the next level of ministry.  Dancers will be encouraged to think outside the box of traditional dance and forge new territory.  The Conference will kick-off on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm with keynote speaker, Dr. Medina Pullins.  Other guests and speakers include, Pastor Solomon Kinloch, Minister Barbara Sullivan, gospel-recording artist, Dwayne Woods.  Invited guests, such as hip-hop recording artist T.I., along with local holy hip-hop and gospel artists are scheduled to appear on the Saturday evening program.  Saturday will also launch a Georgia State resolution to support performing arts in our schools, called the Georgia GIFTED program.  
   
Conference Founder, Sabrina McKenzie has 20 years of dance experience that includes 10 years, under the leadership of Bishop Eddie L. Long, Senior Pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.  McKenzie attended the Benedict School of Dance in New York, graduated from Morris Brown College in Atlanta and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Divinity (M.Div) from Interdenominational Theological Center.
 
The Georgia International Dance Commission is a co-sponsor for the Dancing Preachers 2008 International Conference with corporate-community support from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and the Georgia Caribbean American Heritage Coalition.
