SKF sends Hatters Cup under 12s to Sweden

SKF, the Luton based knowledge engineering company, sponsored the under 12s competition of the 2008 Hatters Cup, offering the winners a free trip to the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden in July.

July 8, 2008 - PRLog -- SKF, the Luton based knowledge engineering company, sponsored the under 12s competition of the 2008 Hatters Cup, offering the winners a free trip to the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden in July.

The Hatters Cup, which took place at Luton Town Football Club’s Kenilworth Stadium on May 24th and 25th, was a great success. Around 120 youth teams competed against each other for the cup, with 24 teams playing in the under 12s category sponsored by SKF. After a nail biting final, the tournament was won by Worksop Town, who beat Knebworth Youth two goals to one.

As Worksop Town have a prior engagement at the time of the Gothia Cup, Knebworth Youth will be going to Sweden in July on their behalf. The Gothia Cup, taking place between the 13th and 19th of July, is the most high profile youth football tournament in the world. Knebworth Youth will join more than 1,500 international teams taking part in the competition, which offers a meeting ground for the football talent of tomorrow from all over the world.
