Publix and offers Local Coffee

July 3, 2008 - PRLog -- Located in old town Key West, Florida is a small family owned and operated coffee roasting company known as Island Joes Gourmet Coffee Roasting Company. Perhaps small, but the Wells family has become an international supplier of their gourmet coffee and espresso blend with customers in China, Chile, Canada, England, Puerto Rico and all across the United States, including Seattle.
    This small unassuming coffee roasting company also supplies coffee and espress to such names at Hyatt, Crowne Plaza, Ocean Key Resort and Spa, Cafe Marquesa and more from their small shop just off Duval street in old town Key West, Florida.
    Publix first took notice of Island Joe's Coffee toward the end of last year, when they begin a test market at the Publix stores in the Florida Keys. And now you may enjoy IJS Coffee at around 50 or so Publix stores, plus the distribution is growing.
   This was the same pattern with Whole Foods Market, as most of the Whole Foods Market stores in Florida offer IJS Coffee, noting the new Whole Foods Market store in Orlando just begin offering IJS Coffee, plus they are in both the new Publix Greeen Wise Stores.
    Island Joe's offers the highest rated gourmet coffee blends in the state of Florida.
Beemer's Breakfast Blend rated 91 out of 100 by Kenneth Davids from coffeereview.com and this is what he had to say our Beemer's Breakfast Blend.
   Blind Assessment: Delicate aroma with softly pungent cedar and sweet tomato notes. In the cup gently and crisply acidy, with distinct floral notes and coffee fruit that reads as a tart, chocolate-toned cherry. A simple but very pure coffee expression. Who should drink it:
A soft, sweetly fruit-and-floral-toned version of the classic American breakfast cup.
  Smuggler's Brew rated 88 out of 100 with the comments being in a Blind assessment:
"Very impressive aroma: deep and lush with low-toned fruit (banana?) notes and hints of cedar and chocolate. In the cup crisp and roasty but still sweet with floral notes and a rich fruit that reads as semi-sweet chocolate. Simple but cleanly sweet finish. " Who should drink it: Those who enjoy the sweet side of dark roasts.
    90 Mile Strecth Espresso rated 90 out of 100 and the comments where Very sweet-toned aroma with floral hints. In the small cup medium-bodied and slightly lean in mouthfeel, crisp, cedary, with raisiny, licorice-toned fruit. Slightly heavy finish but excellent flavor persistence, with the fruit turning toward chocolate. Comes into its own in milk, where it is balanced and roundly rich, with deep semi-sweet chocolate character.
   Even with the impressive coffee rating from coffeereview.com, there seems to be even more coming from Island Joe's global customers base.
    Your coffee is fantasic..my first order was taken care of quickly and I even received some bonus coffee. My new favorite coffee is Black Flag and 90 mile stretch. The best thing I ever did was order a espresso machine the next best was Ordering from Island Joes.
I am a elite Triathlete and I love a good pick me up in the mornining I will never go back to any other coffee. I am going to tell everyone and anyone I can about you guys.     Hi, Just wanted to thank you for the time you took on this past Friday providing insight into your coffees and roasting techniques. Our family was travelling for the first time to Key West from Halifax, Nova Scotia and our 12 year old family member, Jack, now has some first hand information to pass along in his school presentation on coffee this week! Imagine the neck of a guitar or perhaps the ivories on a piano - ok - now realize there are thousands of notes on both, thus the art of the musician is to choose the right notes to make up a cord which is appealing to the ear, hence our job as coffee roasters is to create a melody in a coffee cup through our blends which is appealing to your sense of
smell and taste.

One last comment about our blends - as with every artist, such as a Van Gogh, Picasso and such, you will notice each has developed their own style, this also holds true with Islandjoe's Coffee, as we strive to offer original blends which are based upon old world traditional blending and roasting disciplines.

Science
Science as art encompasses another large arena.So for us to put it simply, one must have
the whereabouts to to explore the chemistry of each type of coffee bean being used in our gourmet blends.

One of our favorite science parts is our Oxidizier, which keeps us as environmental friendly coffee roasters.
