The airline safety and security web site AirSafe.com releases a new podcast series that reveals the secrets of its success since its launch in 1996.

Dr. Todd Curtis launched AirSafe.com with a simple mission – to provide the public with factual and timely information on major events that aviation safety and aviation security. The site has become one of the most widely recognized airline safety and security resources on the Internet, providing insight and analysis of major events such as TWA Flight 800 and the attacks of 9/11, and providing insights into other issues that concern the flying public.

Along the way, the site and its creator have expanded the information and services available to the public.  In addition to information on airliner accidents and incidents, the site provides extensive resources for dealing with airport security and baggage issues, guidance on filing airline complaints, and fear of flying resources.

About Dr. Curtis

A former USAF flight test engineer and Boeing airline safety engineer, Dr. Curtis has earned engineering degrees from Princeton and MIT, and a doctorate in Aviation Risk Assessment from the Union Institute.  He authored the 2000 book “Understanding Aviation Safety Data” and the 2007 book “Parenting and the Internet.” Dr. Curtis has provided expert insight and analysis to CNN, CBS, NBC, the New York Times, Time Magazine, Wall Street Journal, and other media outlets. He is also a licensed private pilot and a member of the International Society of Air Safety Investigators.
