Doremus Hong Kong Campaign for The Wall Street Journal Europe Wins First Place at INMA Awards

Doremus Hong Kong, part of the Doremus global network which specializes in understanding the business of business, has created an award-winning campaign for The Wall Street Journal Europe. The campaign is titled "Knowledge and Understanding."
 
June 24, 2008 - PRLog -- Doremus Hong Kong, part of the Doremus global network which specializes in understanding the business of business, has created an award-winning campaign for The Wall Street Journal Europe. The campaign, titled “Knowledge and Understanding” was originally developed for The Wall Street Journal Asia and then adapted for The Journal Asia’s sister publication in Europe.

The Journal Europe’s campaign, targeted to attract subscribers, won first place at the International Newspaper Marketing Association (INMA) Awards, presented during the INMA’s World Congress in Beverly Hills, California on May 8th.

The Wall Street Journal Europe’s win was in the Print Subscription Sales category for mid sized newspapers.

The judges commended The Wall Street Journal Europe for “the creative which clearly and concisely delivers the desired message and positions The Wall Street Journal Europe as a valuable resource contributing to personal and professional success,” as well as for the “impressive results driven by great positioning and excellent execution.”

The competition attracted a total of 755 entries from nearly 200 newspapers from 34 different countries, designed to honor excellence in newspaper marketing worldwide.

The subscriber campaign ran across pan European print titles and TV, and also included a lead-generation message on Lufthansa boarding cards and placements in the Hotel Renaissance chain. The Journal Europe’s David Mekkaoui and Marion Meunier were responsible for adapting the Asian campaign in the European market.

The Wall Street Journal Asia’s Director of Marketing, Olivier Legrand said “The unique strength of The Journal has always been its exceptional depth of reporting and the level of business understanding we offer to readers. With a simple and striking style, this campaign has picked up the theme and highlights the difference between the knowledge that other publications offer and the business understanding that The Journal provides, reasserting our newspaper’s position as the leader in global business news around the world.”
