June 19, 2008 - PRLog -- AgentSheets, Inc. has received the 2008 “Colorado Top Tech Education Initiative” award at the Apex Awards ceremony hosted on June 5, 2008 by the CSIA, Colorado's Technology Association. The Apex Awards recognize outstanding accomplishments and leadership by Colorado's advanced technology companies and people. For eight years, the CSIA Apex Awards have expressed well-deserved recognition for the numerous technical advancements produced in Colorado. Presented in twelve categories, the awards celebrate outstanding support, unique innovations, and noteworthy community contributions on the part of the people and companies operating within Colorado's technology industry.

The Top Tech Education Initiative award honors the nominee who has put forth an Initiative in Education, for the sake of Education, that is having a tangible impact on primary and/or secondary students, teachers, professors, educational institutions and/or the community at large. It is given to the nominee that goes above and beyond to nurture, develop and promote Colorado’s next, bright technology minds, especially in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) skills, with measurable results. This award is intended to recognize the important role education plays in ensuring the United States continues to lead future innovation worldwide.

“We are very proud and deeply honored to be recognized as Colorado’s top tech education company,” said Nadia Repenning, CEO of AgentSheets Inc. “We have been dedicated to educating students and motivating them to participate in STEM disciplines through our innovative technologies. This wouldn’t be possible without the steadfast support of the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health that have been funding our work, the teachers and students of Colorado that were pioneers in using our technologies, and of course the dedicated work of the AgentSheets Inc. team. We look forward to continuing to serve education with exciting new projects that aim to attract more students, especially underrepresented groups such as women and minorities, to technology and science.”
