New Direction Energizes Bohtieque Design

June 18, 2008 - PRLog -- Black River Falls, WI--Two years ago, Julie Tiedens, graphic designer and owner of Bohtieque Design, was immersed in creating business identity packages for small businesses.  Then, life intervened.

“We started the adoption process, and our son was placed with us.  It was a whirlwind time, and I made the decision to pull back with the business a bit so that I could find a way to make work and baby mix,” said Tiedens.

Tiedens quickly realized there was a gap in offerings for birth announcements, so she made her own.  Family and friends loved them and asked her to design for them.

“For a while there, my sisters kept me pretty busy with holiday cards and birth announcements.  Then, my friends started asking me to design their cards, and I knew I had an answer to the question of what I should do next with Bohtieque,” said Tiedens.

Bohtieque was reinvented and offers custom photo announcements, invitations and cards.  Clients can choose pre-designed templates that Tiedens modifies for their event, or they can request a completely custom design.  Tiedens also recently opened a shop online at Etsy, a website that showcases work from artists and crafters around the world.

“A whole new world has opened up to me--I love working with clients to make their special day even more fun.  I hadn’t realized how fulfilling it would be both creatively and personally to work in this area, but I’m so glad I’ve found out.  It’s great!” said Tiedens.
