New Art Gallery In Bridlington Looking For Original Art

Art submissions required by new art gallery opening soon in East Yorkshire

June 7, 2008 - PRLog -- A new art gallery, Priory Gallery, in the heart of Bridlington's historic Old Town, is asking for art submissions for it's opening exhibition. The gallery wants to take art in a brand new direction for Bridlington by showing contemporary art that is challenging, modern and daring.

Creative Director and Manager of the gallery, Gail Miller B.A. says; "We are looking for Yorkshire artists who have preferably never exhibited in Old Town before and we also want to show a more contemporary than traditional style art. Sculptors and ceramicists are also encouraged to submit their work to us for possible representation. We are also happy to look at work by art students in the region"

Gail, who is herself an artist and who will be exhibiting her own art at the gallery, hopes it will open it's doors to the public before the end of July, so artists wanting to submit should send examples of their work on a CD with contact details to the gallery at 45 High Street, Bridlington, or forward a link to their websites to priorygallery@live.co.uk

Apart from showing art, The Priory Gallery hopes to establish itself as the premier outlet for quality art materials in the area as it also has a designated art store on the premises.
