Entrepreneurial Mother's Association Mother of the Year Award

Baby Signs Arizona Regional Manager and Kids Love to Sign Founder Receives Mother of the Year Award

June 3, 2008 - PRLog -- On the first Monday of every month you can find  successful, professional, women business owners gathered together who all have one very important thing in common-they are all moms. The Entrepreneurial Mothers Association provides the opportunity for self-employed mothers to enhance their professional and personal development by offering support, exchanging information, and sharing resources and referrals.

At this month's meeting, the East Valley chapter of the Entrepreneurial Mother's Association awarded their Mother of the Year Award to Jenny Hodges, Arizona Regional Manager for the Baby Signs® Program, Founder of the Kids Love to Sign™ Program, and mother of two. Hodges has been a member of EMA for five years and says that EMA has had a great impact on her. "I have met truly amazing women and have been inspired and motivated by members and guest speakers. My business has benefited from the valuable business advice received at meetings. Not only have I created wonderful business connections and partnerships with EMA members, I have had the opportunity to help others connect and work together."

Being an Entrepreneurial Mother isn't always easy, but according to Hodges, very rewarding. "The most rewarding part for me is combining my talents and passion into something that is not only profitable, but also makes a difference in the lives of others," Hodges shares. Many working moms can relate to the challenges of balancing work and home. With two small children, Hodges says, "I have become very skilled in multi-tasking and making the absolute most of the time I have each day. I have found that balancing my checkbook and quizzing my first grader on his spelling test can be done simultaneously while going through the drive-thru car wash! I thrive on the challenge of being a Mom-preneur and wouldn't have it any other way."

"EMA means so much  to me both personally and professionally and I am so honored to have been selected as the East Valley Mother of the Year."

Jenny Hodges has a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. She was the first Certified Baby Signs® Instructor in Arizona. Now, as the Regional Manager for the state of Arizona, she leads a team of over 30 Certified Instructors, teaching parents, caregivers, and teachers how to communicate with babies, toddlers, and preschoolers through sign language. She has represented the Baby Signs® Program on the NBC TODAY Show, NBC Nightly News, and in LIFE Magazine.  Fore more information about the Baby Signs® Program visit www.babysigns.com
