May 29, 2008 - PRLog -- The Nu-Era Group, a global provider of retail fixtures, store supplies and retail marketing solutions, has recently rebranded itself in an effort to reach new markets and achieve a fresh look in the marketplace. The St. Louis-based retail supplier has launched a new corporate Web site, made changes to its marketing department, beefed up its advertising budget and made a significant shift in its marketing initiatives.

“It’s important to maintain a strong presence in any industry,” said Jim Minard, VP sales & marketing. “We’re not changing the way we do business, but we are creating a stronger identity that better represents what The Nu-Era Group is built on and what we are able to deliver to our clients.”

The rebranding was solely focused on the national accounts division of the company, which serves clients including Target, Disney, JCPenney and Dillard’s. Originally a print catalog and ecommerce provider to independent retailers, Nu-Era grew the division to providing custom-designed fixtures and a complete customer-centric client management program.

The new brand and mission strongly focus on The Nu-Era Group’s speed, flexibility and overall customer-centrism. Its speedy ability to connect clients with its deeply-rooted global resources and the flexibility to reroute, accelerate or hold procurement from its overseas vendors is due to nearly 60 years experience in the business. Nu-Era’s cost-effective strategy led to the reduction of packaging, shipping emissions and increased efficiency. Coupled with the supplier’s recycling initiative and the use of recycled products in all of its facilities, they have been a “green” company long before the wave swept the industry.

Nu-Era’s president, Andrew Sharon, took the helm from his father, Barry Sharon, in 2007 and brought in St. Louis equity partners Bush O’Donnell and Omnia Group, giving Nu-Era greater capacity to expand its reach and grow the supplier’s new identity. No longer simply a fixture provider, the younger Sharon has been a driving force behind the customer-centric mentality, providing its growing client list with a wide array of program management services.

“Everyone knows the Nu-Era catalog that came in the mail for 50 years,” says Minard, “but we must continually evolve in this extremely competitive industry. It’s an exciting time as we continue to grow and continue to strengthen our brand.”
