AIESEC UAE Holds its 9th National Conference

May 28, 2008 - PRLog -- AIESEC, the world's largest youth run organization, is announcing that it will be holding its 9th National Conference, which will take place at the Intercontinental Hotel in Al Ain from the 29th to the 31st of May. This conference is one of two National Conferences held every year by AIESEC UAE.

The 9th National Summer Conference is hosted for AIESEC members to build their present knowledge about the organization and develop skills for the achievement of their goals within the organization. It is a unique opportunity for members to develop their leadership skills and gain relevant knowledge from more experienced members and from companies that are socially aware and want to actively take part in youth development. The Conference will also act as a guide for members to plan their AIESEC career and build their personal network.

What makes this conference extra special and set apart from those held previously by AIESEC UAE, is that this conference will be our first 'GREEN' conference. By this AIESEC ensures that all aspects of the conference including its location, food services, transportation and the provision of materials are approached with pollution prevention in mind in order to reduce its environmental impact.

In support of this, AIESEC UAE is proud to announce our Platinum Sponsor for the event, Environmental Agency- Abu Dhabi (www.ead.ae) who will be conducting a special session for the delegates to raise awareness on environmental issues, covering topics such as environmental leadership and highlighting environmental issues in the UAE. Environmental Agency Abu Dhabi will also be conducting an interactive workshop with the delegates, as well as helping form an action plan with AIESEC members for the future.
The National Summer Conference will mark the end of the term 07-08 and will showcase end-of-year achievements. It will also introduce the new leadership body of AIESEC for the term 08-09.
