Upgraded Adjustable Tilt & Swivel Stands from GAMUT Systems helps Pharmacies Increase Customer Loyalty

May 23, 2008 - PRLog -- GAMUT Systems wins big, helping Independent Pharmacies attract and keep customers who are currently frustrated with unfriendly check-out processes.  By installing the Adjustable Tilt & Swivel (ATS) Stand from GAMUT Systems, pharmacy customers can focus on obtaining the pertinent information for their health rather than conducting a transaction.

Most pharmacies have traditional overhead fluorescent lights.  The reflection of these lights from the payment terminal display screen at the point-of-sale, creates an uncomfortable glare.  The glare interferes with the screen display data making it difficult to read, rendering the terminal useless.  The Adjustable Tilt and Swivel (ATS) Stand solves this problem.  Claude Thomas of Millers Pharmacy, Wyckoff, NJ, recently exclaimed, “It has made a huge difference in stopping the glare—a huge difference.”

“Our ATS stand solves this problem by allowing customers to adjust the tilt up or down depending on their viewpoint.  The customer also has the option to move the stand left to right depending on whether they are left or right-handed,” says Peter Nylund, Founder & CEO. “Self-Service at POS doesn’t mean laying a payment terminal on the counter and directing customers to use it.  Customers need the ability to move the terminal to their desired position.  Once there, no additional adjustments are necessary such as tightening screws or holding the stand from kinetic movement when card swiping or creating a signature.”

In addition, the ATS stand provides a robust functionality to end-user customers.  The stands are made of heavy gauge plastic.  Parts don’t rust.  The terminal is locked down on the faceplate which is secured to the stand and stand to the countertop.  This prevents the expensive terminal from damage due to people inadvertently knocking it to the floor.  Many of the terminals have capacitive screens and use expensive glass for the signature medium.  The ATS stand protects that investment.

Also, the stand can be separated in order for someone in a wheelchair who needs the ability to sign at a much closer range.  This separation also allows us to be more flexible.  Our injection-molded T-part can be interchangeably used with a countertop, a ten-inch countertop, and a wall mount.

GAMUT Systems has also engineered the ATS to have a removable faceplate which can be converted or exchanged for a new faceplate to accommodate newer models, resulting in a lowered total cost of ownership.  This decision is part of the innovation we have imparted to the stand, and also adds to the overall value.  When one studies the benefits, the longevity, and the value of doing it right the first time, the investment of our ATS stand becomes prominent among the competition, hence eliminating that competition.
