The global platform for innovation marketing, open innovation and crowd sourcing, launched in January 2008 and known as “the home of the brains” has rebranded and starts with its new name: BeeQuu.com.

May 11, 2008 - PRLog -- The global platform for innovation marketing, open innovation and crowd sourcing, launched in January 2008 and known as “the home of the brains” has rebranded and starts with its new name: BeeQuu.com.

Susanne Hoyer, PR officer: “The team spent some days and nights in search of a new name that’s worth to be called the “home of the brains”. Out of hundreds of proposals we finally decided for BeeQuu. Why BeeQuu? Bees, a species with a distinctive common intelligence were example to the basic principle of our website. BeeQuu.com members’ individual intellectual resources shall be leveraged by connecting with others to a highly intelligent, innovative and creative network. The IQ, the current official unit for intelligence has finished. The BeeQuu is the new century’s intelligence.

Although the new name is catchy, short and has brand appeal it was a hard decision to take the risks of a rebranding. But this step has become necessary due to upcoming legal discussions about the property of the used domain and trademark between a big telecommunications group and the startup company that runs the portal.

“We were aware that we would face serious issues and first of all we had to convince our community of the new identity. In every respect, it was a huge challenge to rebrand in such a short time. Our team did great work to solve the problems that fast and reliable. But we had to take this step because the risks and the costs of having a brand cause with a big player were way too high. We prefer to invest in our community and in the development of our web portal and so we decided not to use our old name any longer.” says Susanne Hoyer .

But she is optimistic and goes ahead: “Before this brand change we had great support and positive reactions from our users and a dramatic growth of a great community. Of course the issue has taken lots of resources. But now we are working double for the success of the portal and our community. We have great plans and there is so much new upcoming next. We are looking forward to continuing the work. “

BeeQuu.com provides comprehensive community and networking features. Users can publish their profiles, discuss latest developments and build their network of innovative people.
Inventors may use the platform to present ideas and innovations and get in contact with investors and companies in order to find suitable business partners.
