Sotheby’s Geneva offer for Auction a Rare Diamond with Cross shape inclusion

May 10, 2008 - PRLog -- Sotheby’s Auction house offers at Geneva an unusual and rare diamond with a perfect Cross shape inside it.
The cross shape was created naturally and discovered accidently while examine the rough diamond. The rare diamond is shaped in the form of a heart, with cross-shaped inclusion at the centre of the stone.

The heart-shaped diamond is a fancy yellow diamond weighing 3.05 carats.

This phenomenon is unique.
Even though there is no known method of placing images or shapes inside diamonds, this unique jewelry was suspected a hoax.
Yet, the diamond was examine and is now accompanied by GIA report no. 16797175 stating that the diamond is Fancy Yellow, Natural Colour, SI1 Clarity.

Sotheby’s declare that the diamond is a “PROPERTY OF A GENTLEMAN” and will not revel any other details. There are already several speculations regarding the owner of this amazing heart-shaped diamond.
