Craigslist Foundation Partners with Zazzle for Custom Merchandise & Resources for Nonprofits

The Two Companies to Co-Host a Series of Live Events on Sustainable Revenue Streams and More

May 9, 2008 - PRLog -- San Francisco, CA -- Craigslist Foundation, a nonprofit organization from the creators of craigslist.org providing free and very low cost programs for nonprofit professionals and social entrepreneurs, and Zazzle, the on-demand retail platform for  consumers, nonprofits and major brands, today announced a  strategic partnership. Zazzle will provide on-demand merchandise through the Craigslist Foundation website, and also work with the Foundation to develop resources and information for nonprofit leaders, social enterprises, and entrepreneurs through live events and online resources that serve to educate, empower and connect.

Through the partnership, Craigslist Foundation and Zazzle will produce a series of live events around the country including Nonprofit Boot Camps and free events on sustainable revenue streams for nonprofits. Zazzle is helping to underwrite the programs.  In addition, the Craigslist Foundation will launch an on-demand merchandise gallery exclusively at Zazzle offering an array of branded and customizable merchandise.

“More and more nonprofits are opening their eyes to earned income strategies as a way to promote
sustainability and financial health.  These programs will help emerging leaders learn the tricks of the trade and equip them with the tools and best practices they need to be effective,” said Darian
Rodriguez Heyman, Executive Director, Craigslist Foundation.

“Philanthropic efforts are very important to Zazzle. Partnering with Craigslist Foundation to provide important resources, programs, and on-demand merchandise opportunities for organizations and individuals to help them succeed in their earned income strategies further reinforces our commitment to non profits and our Zazzle Giving program,” said James Heckman, Chief Strategy Officer,
Zazzle.

Zazzle, along with The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, will be Presenting Sponsors of Craigslist Foundation’s 5th Annual San Francisco Bay Area Nonprofit Boot Camp, a one-day educational program that will provide training in many aspects of nonprofit management, including fundraising, technology, social entrepreneurship, as well as lobbying and advocacy. In addition, Zazzle is also underwriting two of the Craigslist Foundation’s Nonprofit Nights on the subject of earned income as a way of providing sustainable revenue streams for nonprofits.
