KIALOA – Outrigger Paddle Maker Announces the 5th Annual "Live Like You Paddle Scholarship"

May 7, 2008 - PRLog -- The Live Like You Paddle Scholarship is an opportunity for students 18 and under to convey their love for the Hawaiian Outrigger Culture.  The top 10 students who can express it best will earn a free KIALOA paddle, http://www.kialoa.com. This is an opportunity for students to articulate their love for the Hawaiian Outrigger Culture.  Expression can be in the form of an essay, poem, presentation, collage, drawing, painting, song, dance, or other original content.

As past winner Britanie (age 12) declared, “Paddling is a lifestyle for my ohana and me. Through paddling it has taught me to learn my Hawaiian culture and preserve an ancient tradition. I will always live my Hawaiian Culture.”
