The Site intends to appeal to all cross sections of the production community, as well as those interested in breaking into the business. “OurFilmSpace.com will be a gathering place for information about the production community in Massachusetts and beyond – where our members can network, showcase their talents, gifts, and skills, share ideas, communicate, and work together to seize the opportunities here in Massachusetts and elsewhere,” Kirkpatrick said. “The Site is also for persons or companies looking to gain a foothold in Massachusetts from outside the Commonwealth,”
Kirkpatrick added. There is a high level of interest outside the state about what is going on in Massachusetts, and networking with the community here,” he said.
MassachusettsFilmTaxCredit.com references a recent report of the Massachusetts Department of Revenue which indicates that almost $400 mil has been projected in production spending in Massachusetts in the first quarter of 2008 alone.
