Atlanta-based Cosmetic Dentist Keynotes at National Black Women'sHealth Conference in Atlanta

Hall of The Dental Spa, known for providing patients with "A pampering touch"  will keynote at the 2008 National Black Women's Health Conference at the Westin Peachtree Plaza on Friday, May 2nd from 11:15am - 12:15pm. This year's conference, "I Am Every Woman" focuses on improving the quality of health among African-American Women.

Dr. Hall's workshop, "I Am Beautiful: Maintaining A Healthy Smile" will inform attendees on how maintaining a healthy smile by using simple maintenance techniques will improve their overall health adding years of life to their total life span. Dr. Hall shares, "Many people don't know that just by flossing daily will add at least six years to their overall life span." According to Oral Health America; the U.S. Surgeon General reports that African-Americans, Hispanics, American Indians and Alaska Natives generally have poorer oral health than their racial and ethnic groups in the U.S.  Dr. Hall continues, "With rising health care costs, it's important to me that I empower individuals with techniques they can use in the home that will help them maintain a healthy smile." Dr. Hall will discuss the relationship between dental health and many chronic diseases that affect many of us today such as: cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes.

Dr. Shai Hall opened The Dental Spa, located in Marietta in 2005 and has been coined by her clients as the dentist with "the pampering touch". Constantly looking for ways to enhance her skills, Dr. Hall is currently enrolled in a five-course curriculum at the nationally renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and has taken more than 400 hours in advanced cosmetic dental training. Dr. Shai Hall received a BS in biology from Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach, Florida, and her DDS degree from the University of Maryland - Baltimore College of Dental Surgery.

She is a member of both the America Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and the Academy of General Dentistry.
