The Operations Security Professional's Association (OSPA) Announces today that it has officially incorporated as an IRS-recognized non-profit 501(c)(3), ending the long process of compliance assurance
April 23, 2008 - PRLog -- OSPA Announced today the offical incorporation and granting of the tax-exempt/non-profit 501(c)(3) designation. This milestone makes OSPA the World's first International non-profit Operations Security (OPSEC) Association.
Because of this recent action, OSPA will be better able to focus on providing awareness and educational resources to the community, to include UN/NATO countries, as well as non-government entities, to include private individuals.
At this time, all donations made to OSPA are considered tax-deductable, and OSPA is able to legally recognize the work of the many volunteers that have put great efforts into the establishment of the Association.
OSPA focuses on providing peer-based development to OPSEC Professionals worldwide, as well as resources such as briefings, tools and subject matter experts, to name a few.
