April 20, 2008 - PRLog -- In conjunction with the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) and the upcoming exhibit on the History of Film making in Fort Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival will present a series of films, shot in our own backyard!

Before the movie, Cindy Morgan who played Lacey Underall, will answer your questions about making this summertime classic. FLHS and the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) are hosting the movie screening at the Historical Society grounds, 227 S.W. 2nd Ave., in support of the opening of FLHS’s current exhibit Break a Leg in Broward: A History of Local Filmmaking.

The exhibit focuses on movies filmed in Fort Lauderdale such as “Where the Boys Are” starring Connie Francis, D.W. Griffith’s “The Idol Dancer,” “Hoot” directed by Wil Shriner and “Caddyshack.” Memorabilia from these movies is on display including movie posters, scripts and historic photographs from the FLHS collections.
