Losing Weight – The Struggle Against Time

A young mans short story about his fight to lose weight the right way
 
April 18, 2008 - PRLog -- Many people struggle everyday to lose weight. Most wish to lose weight in an un-realistic time scale and some have a target date or event they wish to lose weight for. This has led to people making themselves ill trying to shed pounds in days by starving themselves, taking diuretics or other drastic, frankly horrific, methods.

This is why i was so pleased when i came across a heart warming story written on a common blog site. The story is from a young man who had been ridiculed his whole life for being overweight and finally decided to do something about it before he moved and got a new job, hoping to start a new life. He tried many methods of losing weight, even becoming ill from various diets, and began to consider more extreme ways to lose weight which would be a risk to his health.

But this man would not let himself surcome to his depression or pressure from society and found a way to lose weight in a safer manner and is now happy and healthy. It just goes to show that you don’t have to lose weight instantly; the most important thing is that you are happy and healthy. Losing weight steadily and safely can make you happy and healthy, losing weight too fast could damage your health more than not losing weight at all.
