April 16, 2008 - PRLog -- Big Fireworks has been working diligently on the legalization of fireworks in the State of Michigan for the past two years. Finally, the new fireworks bill in Michigan has been introduced!  House Bill 5917, introduced by State Rep. Barb Farrah was officially introduced in the Michigan House of Representatives on March 20, 2008.  You can view the Bill in its entirety at http://www.bigfireworks.com.

This bill will allow for the legal sale and use of fireworks in the State of Michigan. Additionally, it will create new tax revenue for the state. Every sale will be subject to 6% sales tax plus a 5% safety fee, for a total of 11% on every retail transaction. In the past, this revenue has been lost to the bordering states of Ohio and Indiana.

Big Fireworks is an industry leader in the legalization, production, and sales of consumer fireworks. Our legalization efforts have been successful due to the high quality of consumer fireworks that we produce and carry. The US market has seen a large increase in the use of fireworks along with a substantial decrease in related injuries. This is due in part to a strong cooperation between Chinese Manufacturers, US Importers, American Fireworks Safety Laboratories, and the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Big Fireworks has seen a 70% increase in the sales of consumer fireworks in 2007 vs. 2006. This has been achieved by producing only the highest quality fireworks; introduction of five new brands which includes Big Fireworks, Certified Black Diamond, Pure, Professional, and Classic; and last but certainly not least, the utmost support from our customers. From everyone here at Big Fireworks, we truly appreciate your support and look forward to another successful year.
