ICON-SCM Practice Forum on April 22, 2008, 5 pm CET

April 14, 2008 - PRLog -- ICON Supply Chain Management will present in a web cast on April 22, 2008, how SAP users can benefit from Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP). Glen Margolis, CEO of Steelwedge Software, and Dr. Kurt Mannchen, Managing Director of ICON, will explain in detail in exactly which areas special S&OP software constitutes a meaningful extension to SAP R/3.

A survey conducted by the Penn State Center for Supply Chain Research has shown that nine out of ten SAP customers use Excel spreadsheets for S&OP. Glen Margolis and Dr. Kurt Mannchen will demonstrate how SAP-based coordination between Sales and Operations can be made more efficient, using practical examples. In particular, manufacturers of complex configurable products need a company-wide plan that will allow different departments to coordinate their work.

The approximately one-hour web cast will be at no charge and targets specifically employees of manufacturing companies that work in the areas of management, sales, (production) planning, purchasing, and finance. Registrations can be made via http://icon-scm.webex.com.
