Female Entrepreneur Revolutionizes the Home-Page!

Virtual Globie offers users an easy-to use, practical, and common sense solution to the traditional home-page.

April 8, 2008 - PRLog -- Nashville, TN – Teresa Singleton, Founder of Virtual Globie, announced the inauguration of the company’s home-page service.  Virtual Globie offers users an easy-to use, practical, and common sense solution to the traditional home-page.

Teresa commented, “I have always been interested in finding common sense solutions to problems.  Other home-page services are difficult to navigate and loaded with ads and mainly link users to vendor-sponsored web sites. Virtual Globie revolutionizes the home-page by emphasizing logical, straightforward matching of the specific interests of the user and the Internet’s most frequently visited sites, without advertising or promotion of vendor-sponsored links.”

Virtual Globie users can choose from a menu of home-page options including those geared toward men, women, seniors, tweens, teens, and younger children.  As the service expands, there will be other choices such as pages aimed at brides or expectant parents.  Users will eventually be able to select more than one home-page if they wish and scroll between them.

Teresa added, “Virtual Globie allows those of any age from kids in elementary school to seniors the ability to set a home-page that fits their individual interests and enables quick access to their favorite web sites.  I like to draw an analogy with the MORE Chicken Soup for the Soul book series.  An individual might be interested in different Chicken Soup books at various phases of his or her life, just like Virtual Globie users may change their home-page preferences to match their current needs and interests.”

A typical Virtual Globie home-page would include main tabs set around the perimeter of the page for popular Internet sites such as Wikepedia, You-Tube, Google, e-Bay, PayPal, Craigslist, and Fandango. The center section of the page includes a directory of web links to the most popular sites accessed by the demographic group that the page is geared toward, such as teens or women.

Links are organized by category such as Classifieds, Encyclopedias, Maps, Medical Information, and Tickets.  Under the News heading, for example, there would be links to MSN, CNN, ABC News, and Fox News.  The Travel heading would include links to sites such as JMCgotravel, Travelocity, Expedia, and Priceline.  The page will also include current weather, news, sports and video searches.

Teresa grew up in Frankfort, Kentucky and graduated from Western Hills High School. Virtual Globie is her second foray into online business.
