April 7, 2008 - PRLog -- What’s the secret of a successful entrepreneur? In fact the right person to answer this entangling question is none another than an entrepreneur himself. One who has braved all odds to establish himself in the successful ranks of the extremely competitive entrepreneurial world. Now, ask any entrepreneurs about the reason behind their success and out pops a hackneyed answer, “Oh…hard work, patience, persistence and the like…” Is that all you need to be a successful entrepreneur? You bet, even a rickshaw puller who toils the entire day cycling away heavy piles of goods is more hardworking than any us. So, can he be a successful entrepreneur? I doubt. Let’s be specific and talk about the basic essence of successful entrepreneurship. We will need to talk to a visionary bunch of new age entrepreneurs who dare to dream big and whose ambitions are devoid of a ceiling. “Start small, dream big…” says Rupinder Khurana, Co-founder and Director of Rupiz Infotech, “… and take one step at a time.”

Perhaps it’s the die-hard spirit of the go-getter founders that has fueled its success in full throttle. To begin with, who are entrepreneurs in true sense? Entrepreneurs are a typical group of people who cannot be typecast into a particular category. They are relatively dissatisfied with the things around them. So, they try to change them and deliver something valuable. Be it the enhancement of an existing product or the introduction of an entirely new feature. They want things to change for good and in this process they reap profits. I believe that it’s a demarcating factor that sets apart Bill Gates, Sabeer Bhatia and Narayan Murthy from the rest of the lot. In other words entrepreneurs are self starters and real opportunity seekers. They love a challenge to push them to extreme limits and establish authority over their selected field.

Furthermore, successful entrepreneurs are very flexible. They can easily mould themselves in different roles and figure out a solution to their problems on their own. In addition, an ambitious entrepreneur is fiercely competitive and creative at the same time. But Seeraj Chawla, Co-founder, Corporate Finance Head, Rupiz Infotech is of an opinion that there is another factor that makes an entrepreneur different from an innovator: financial understanding. Long-term planning of financial resources plays a crucial role in the success of an enterprise. “Even though if a venture is a moderate player like us but it will not fear the big fish if it has sorted out its financial priorities. If an entrepreneur coys away from competition and thinks that he lacks the resources to tame it then his venture will crumble sooner or later. Such people who are afraid to fall seldom rise,” he explains further. To get a financial mileage one should trust himself, his concept and be persuasive enough to convince others to lend the much needed angel hand.

Reaching the top echelons in not a matter of twenty four hours. It requires a tangible idea, a concrete plan and systematic execution. The soul of a successful entrepreneurship is to settle for nothing but the desired goal.
