Williamstown, New Jersey – Teenage phenomenon Morgan Simone is proud to announce the release of her first novel, I’m Still Here, a book that explores depression, drug abuse, sexual misconduct, and peer pressures through the eyes of a high school student. I’m Still Here addresses the hardship of being an adolescent in a world where innocence is rarely kept and teenagers are often forced to deal with issues well beyond their emotional maturity level. The novel is recommended for ages 15 and older, due to the heavy content that Morgan addresses.

Morgan Simone Regis-Jerkins, or as her literary double Morgan Simone, was inspired to write I’m Still Here through personal experiences and observation of the mistreatment of others. With a naturally shy disposition, Morgan became a target for bullies since the first grade. Instead of lashing out, she channeled her anger into writing more than 82,000 words of her first young adult novel, I’m Still Here, in a mere six months. Marking her triumph, she dedicated I’m Still Here to everyone who has ever felt they weren’t beautiful, intelligent, rich, or popular enough. This young and brilliant author urges readers to be proud enough to say, “I’m still here.”
