March 14, 2008 - PRLog -- Industrial Fabrics Association International announced the celebration of Mary Hennessy's 20th anniversary with the association. Hennessy is the Vice President of Communications and Publisher of IFAI's award-winning magazines covering the spectrum of specialty fabrics industry applications: Specialty Fabrics Review; Geosynthetics; Upholstery Journal; Marine Fabricator; InTents; Fabric Architecture; and Fabric Graphics. Each year these acclaimed, niche-market publications collect awards for design and outstanding editorial content that helps industry insiders keep up-to-date with the latest trends and business-building innovations.

Hennessy's long and distinguished career at IFAI began in February 1988 when she was hired as an association member recruitment specialist. She was promoted to positions of greater responsibility, including Membership Sales Manager and Advertising Sales Manager, moving to her current positions of Publisher in 1992 and Vice President of Communications in 1998. "In every position she has excelled," said IFAI President Steve Warner.

Hennessy was presented with a framed, custom-designed magazine cover featuring her as the top story; a commemorative card created by the design staff; as well as an engraved clock by presented by President Steve Warner on behalf of IFAI during a 20th anniversary surprise celebration. Expressing her thanks to the entire IFAI staff, Hennessy said, "The opportunity to work with my dedicated, smart, kind and funny co-workers is what keeps me coming back every day. I am happy to be here and grateful for the chance to make a difference."

Steve Warner added that "under Mary's direction, the publications have won many regional and national awards. She has also been recognized by her peers through the Greg Carey Leadership Award given by the Minnesota Magazine Publishers Association in 2003. We have been so fortunate to have a person of her caliber with us."
