March 3, 2008 - PRLog -- When Arthur Julius, founder of Nice-Pak Products, Inc., invented the Wet Nap® in 1958, it was more than the beginning of one new business. The Wet Nap launched today’s multi-billion dollar pre-moistened wipe industry as the first saturated paper product specifically designed for transport and ease of use.
In 1962, a meeting between Julius, his son Robert and “Colonel” Harlan Sanders, changed the foodservice industry forever.  Sanders, whose Kentucky Fried Chicken® recipe was gaining popularity across the country, used the words, “Finger Lickin’ Good” as his marketing slogan. The Julius family agreed, but suggested that Sanders’ patrons clean up with a pre-moistened wipe after licking their fingers.  Loving the idea, the Colonel placed an order that very day, and KFC® became the nation’s first Wet Nap customer.  Soon afterwards, thousands of restaurants around the world began offering their customers a Wet Nap for quick clean-ups after messy meals.
Fast forward to 2008: Today, Nice-Pak® continues to pioneer wet wipe products to meet the needs of restaurants, healthcare professionals and consumers around the world.  While the company positioned the Wet Nap as the ideal clean-up solution after dining, now they are educating consumers about the importance of cleaning one’s hands before eating.
Sani-Hands® for Kids Antimicrobial Alcohol Hand Wipes, introduced in 2006, is a hand-sanitizing wipe that is FDA food code compliant for use prior to handling food—a claim few hand sanitizers can make.  The use of Sani-Hands for Kids and Sani-Hands II®, its adult counterpart, helps prevent the transmission of germs on hands.
And, when soap and water aren’t available, Sani-Hands for Kids and Sani-Hands II packets provide a convenient and effective approach to hand sanitization. They are especially useful for drive-through meals and on school trips when children generally do not have the opportunity to clean their hands before they eat.
Wipes are more effective at sanitizing hands than alcohol gels alone. A study done by Nice-Pak commercial found Sani-Hands for Kids and Sani-Hands II kills 99.99% of germs more effectively than gels because of the natural friction caused by the wiping action. This is an important function that rub-in alcohol hand washes alone cannot achieve.  The product also contains emollients, including aloe, glycerin and Vitamin E, to help prevent hands from drying as a result of frequent usage.  Sani-Hands has been tested for usage of up to 25 times in a 2-hour period and found to not cause dermal irritation.
Over the years, Nice-Pak has worked towards perfecting its pre-moistened wipes system for hand and surface sanitizing and disinfecting.  With trusted brands including SaniCart Wipe®, Sani-Hands® and the new Sani-Surface® family of products, Nice-Pak Commercial offers a variety of ready to use pre-moistened wipes specially designed for use in restaurants, school cafeterias, grocery stores, food processing environments and transportation settings.
Sani-Hands for Kids and Sani-Hands II Instant Hand Sanitizing Wipes and available in 135 and 220-count canisters as well as individual “on-the-go” packets.  Floor and counter top dispensers are available for ease of use in institutional settings.
