Follow on Google News | Measure temperature quickly and safely with SKF dual laser infrared thermometerSKF, the leading knowledge engineering company, has launched a dual laser infrared thermometer, which makes it simple to test the temperature of objects quickly and accurately
By: 4 Creative Marketing The TMTL 2400K is lightweight and compact, able to be carried around and used whenever and wherever it is required, while a built in LED torch and a large backlit display make it easy to take readings in dark or dimly lit areas. The thermometer is capable of processing a wide temperature range, of between -60 and 1000ºC using the infrared sensor, or -64 and 1400ºC with the probe. The built-in dual laser feature and spot ratio of 50:1 make the device suitable for demanding applications where accuracy is critical. Furthermore, the TMTL 2400K enables emissivity levels to be selected by the user, allowing a contact temperature measurement to be compared with the infrared measurement in order to find and adjust the thermometer emissivity, for precise and consistent results. When used as an infrared detector, the optics of the device sense emitted, reflected and transmitted energy, which is collected and focussed onto a detector. This information is then translated into an accurate temperature reading in ºC, which is clearly displayed on the detector’s backlit screen. The TMTL 2400K is also supplied with a K type temperature probe for use as a contact thermometer, and is compatible with a range of SKF probes for maximum flexibility.
