Akron Based The Nanny Connection Expands into Columbus

Heydorn, a graduate of Kent State University with her Masters in Early Childhood Education, opened her doors in 2004 to fill a need in the greater Akron/Cleveland, not only for qualified permanent placement of nannies but also for on-call childcare.  The service has now expanded to include on-call housekeepers, eldercare, personal chefs, handymen, and more.

“I would hear parents complaining about the fact that they didn’t have a resource for qualified care for a one-time or short term basis.  We offer nannies for just a few hours or an overnight vacation.  All of our nannies are background checked before they ever enter a home for an interview,” said Heydorn.  The nannies and babysitters are also CPR and 1st Aid certified, have had driving records and references checked, and are all personally interviewed.
