Tacoma Production Company Receives Telly Award for Pearl Harbor Documentary

Feb. 19, 2008 - PRLog -- Tacoma, Washington –  "A Return to Ford Island," produced by Edit 1 Media, an award-winning video production company in Tacoma, Washington, received a silver (top) Telly Award in the Charitable/Not-for-profit category. The short documentary debuted in the theater of the Pacific Aviation Museum– Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7, 2006.

Laura & Chris Randall, who directed and produced the short film, describe “A Return to Ford Island” as a dramatic, personal and haunting look into the lives of two 19-year old servicemen, Ernie Olson and Herb Franck, on the morning that the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor over 66 years ago.

The annual Telly Awards was founded in 1978 by David E. Carter, a past Emmy and Clio winner, to honor excellence in local, regional and cable TV commercials, as well as the finest video and film productions. The 28th Annual Telly Awards received over 13,000 entries from major film studios in all 50 states and 5 continents. Fewer than one in ten entries receive silver award recognition.

The film debuted to the general public on December 7, 2006 during the museum’s Grand Opening and will play seven days a week in the state-of-the-art movie theater.
