The Ultimate Prom Contest Has Begun

Feb. 19, 2008 - PRLog -- One lucky high school is about to win the year’s most exciting prom ever, with a live performance, fantastic décor and everlasting memories.  It’s prom season, and Stumps Prom is awarding the “Ultimate Prom.”

For the first time ever, one deserving high school in the United States can win the Stumps Ultimate Prom.  The prom will be awarded to a winning school this spring, and the school will have the “ultimate prom experience” for the year’s most formal dance.
Over the past year, the team of prom experts at Stumps Prom and Party’s Indiana headquarters has been designing the Ultimate Prom unlike any prom.  

“It will be unlike anything this country has ever seen,” said Shep Moyle, President of Stumps Prom.  

The Ultimate Prom will include the hottest décor, a choice of the most popular prom themes and a live concert from recording artist Jon McLaughlin.

The winning school will be chosen based upon their application essay.  Students, faculty and prom committees are asked to answer: “Why does your school deserve the Ultimate Prom?”

Stumps Prom will give away the “Ultimate Prom” to one high school, with prizes totaling over $25,000.   The prize package will include a live performance by Island Records recording artist Jon McLaughlin.

McLaughlin has been featured on soundtracks for several major motion pictures and television series.  The hit song Beautiful Disaster, written by Alan Menken and Steven Schwartz and performed by Jon McLaughlin was nominated for a 2008 Academy Award.
Stumps Prom developed the Ultimate Prom as a way to give back to their loyal customer base.

“We wanted to give back to our customers in the biggest way possible,” said Moyle.  “The 2008 Ultimate Prom will go down in history as the biggest prom bash to date.”

Stumps will also award 350 runner-up prizes totaling over $15,000 in prom décor and accessories.

“We wanted this event to make history,” said Jacquie Downey, Ultimate Prom event organizer.  “Not only will one high school win the Ultimate Prom, but also hundreds of schools all across the United States will win gift certificates to make their prom unforgettable.”

The Ultimate Prom Contest runs through March 8, 2008 and a winning school will be announced the week of March 24, 2008.

Prom season typically lasts from the end of April through the middle of May, although some West coast and some East coast schools hold Proms during the end of May through early June.
