"underEXPOSED: Black Women Photographers..." Open Discussion 2p Sun. Feb. 17 at NY's Lincoln Ctr

An open talk with the eight exhibiting photographers from "underEXPOSED: Black Women Photographers in America" will be held at 2p Sunday, Feb. 17 in the Freida & Roy Furman Gallery at the Walter Reade Theater @ New York City's Lincoln Center.
 
Feb. 12, 2008 - PRLog -- An open discussion will be held with the exhibiting photographers of “underEXPOSED: Black Women Photographers in America” at 2p, Sunday, February 17, 2008 at New York’s Lincoln Center. Admission is free.

The show is a traveling photography exhibit and will run through the month of February 2008 in the Freida & Roy Furman Gallery at the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center, 70 Lincoln Center Plaza,  2nd floor, (between Broadway & Amsterdam Ave.) New York City. The curator for the show is Ton`ya Leigh, a New York City-based Art Director and photographer.

This exhibition showcases the work of African-American women photographers. The participating photographers in this show are all based in the New York City area but hail from places such as California and Haiti. The exhibiting photographers are as
follows: Patrina Hall-Madry, Deborah Terry, June Truesdale, Sheila SL Dawkins, Ton’ya Leigh, Michaelle Chapoteau, Noreen Mallory and Carucha L. Meuse. The works from these photographers range from travel and nature photography to portrait and photojournalism.

The open discussion on Sunday, February 17, 2008 is free and open to the public.
No registration is necessary.  “underEXPOSED: Black Women Photographers in America” is sponsored by Reconstruct Art, a New York City-based non-profit 501 (c)3 youth arts education program.
