South Indian Bank Launches A Unique ABB Product – “SB : Privilege”

Feb. 3, 2008 - PRLog -- Launching this ‘Any Branch Banking’(ABB) product, Dr.V.A.Joseph , Chairman & CEO of  South Indian Bank  stated that the Bank has not forgotten the objectives of the bank’s founder fathers who had started for common good , the Bank in 1929.

“ Being a customer-oriented bank, SIB is striving hard to render personalized customer service using the latest technological capabilities. The technological capability of the Bank was recognized when the Bank could bag the banking technology excellence award from IDRBT which is the technical arm of Reserve Bank of India. The service quality of the Bank has also been recognized when the Bank was selected in the “Outlook Money – C-Fore Survey as the best Private Sector Bank in India in the service quality segment .This product is launched during the CASA (Current Account, Savings Account) campaign period which is started recently by the Bank to ensure that the benefits of the technological excellence of the bank reach common people” said, Dr.Joseph.

The Standard, Silver and Gold categories of the “SB-Privilege” depositors who  maintain the monthly average balances, respectively of Rs.1000/-, Rs.5000/- and Rs.10000/- would get free international debit-cum-ATM card, “Any Branch Banking”, fund transfer through RTGS/NEFT , internet banking (fund transfer), Draft/Pay order, cheque  book,etc. Silver and Gold category account-holders can withdraw  cash through ATMs of other banks in India without charges , the cost of which would be borne by SIB.

This product is available from all the 489 CBS branches and 27 extension counters of the Bank which has established the largest network of core banking branches in India in the private sector, next only to ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and AXIS Bank.

Prof.A.Subramania Iyer,representative of Sringeri Mutt,Bank Directors- Dr.John Joseph and Mr.Paul Chalissery, General Managers- Mr.Cheryan Varkey and Mr.Alex Mathew , and  executives of the Bank were also present on the occasion.
