Sukhwinder Performs For Delhites To Promote Hockey On “rashtra Raksha Sankalpa Diwas”

New Delhi: For the promotion of Hockey, on the occasion of ‘Rashtra Raksha Sankalpa Diwas’, an event named “Chak De India” was successfully organized at Siri Fort Auditorium here today. Playback singer Sukhwinder Singh performed.

“RASHTRA RAKSHA SANKALPA DIWAS”

New Delhi: For the promotion of our national game Hockey, on the occasion of ‘Rashtra  Raksha Sankalpa Diwas’, an event named “Chak De India” was successfully organized at Siri Fort Auditorium here today.

Shri Jaibhagwan Goyal, Founder of Chhatrapati Shivaji Samaj Kalyan and Shiksha Prachar Samiti and the convener of ‘Rashtra Raksha Sankalpa Diwas’, has been organizing this funfilled programme for the last 10 years to celebrate the birthdays of the founder of Azad Hind Fouz, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Shiv Sena supremo Bala Sahib Thakre.

Playback singer Sukhwinder Singh performed for the people of Delhi on the occasion. Sukhwinder is famous for his hit songs like Chhaiya Chhaiya…, Chak De India …, Tera Luckey Kabootar…, Bidi Jalaile…, Vo Kisna Hai…, Dard-e-Disc… etc.  Recently, he has also scored the music for the blockbuster film ‘Halla Bol’.

Senior BJP Leader Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi  was the chief guest of the function. The traditional lamp was lightened by Shri Pradip Jain, Chairman of Parsvnath Developers Ltd.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Jaibhagwan Goyal said ‘’the main reason for holding this programme every year is to celebrate the birthdays of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Shri Bala Sahib Thakre ji. But, this year a special initiative is taken to promote the game of Hockey which is no less important than the Cricket and urged the authorities to promote Hockey also on the lines of cricket’’.

He further mentioned that his organization has been selflessly working since its inception in 1998 for the downtrodden and needy and for the welfare of humanity by rendering free education in schools, stitching courses for women and also running old age homes for the senior citizens without any support.

Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi praised Shri Jaibhagwan Goyal for the initiatives taken by him and his organization for the welfare of the humanity and particularly the running of old-age homes for the senior citizens  and stitching courses for the women.

Dr Joshi also supported the suggestion of Shri Goyal for promoting the national game Hockey on the lines of Cricket by encouraging the players with awards for the recognition of the game.

The other notable guests included Shri Trilochan Singh (M.P.), Shri B.M. Bansal (Principal Commissioner-cum-Secretary of DDA) and  Shri C.R.Garg (D.I.G. of Tihar Jail).

The honorable members, awarded with Chhatrapati Shivaji Award on the occasion, were: Shri Laxmi Narayan Goyal (Director of Zee Network), Shri Aditya Chopra (Film Director and Producer), Shri Adarsh Gupta (MD of Liberty Footwear), Smt. Kiran Chopra (Anchor and Senior Citizen Kesri Club), Shri Sukhwinder Singh (Playback Singer), Shri K.K. Kumar (Chairman of Shakti Bhog Foods Ltd.), Shri Padam Chand Garg (CMD of P.C. Jewellers), Shri S.D. Agarwal (Chairman of BlazeFlash Couriers), Shri Vinay Rathi (Director of Rathi Industries Ltd.) and Shri Tushar Kumar (MD of The GTM Group).

Hockey players who were conferred with appreciation certificates on the occasion included Shri Pramod Kumar (Vice Captain of Indian Junior Hockey Team), Shri A.K. Bansal (Chief Coach of Indian Junior Hockey Team), Shri Rajesh Chauhan and Devesh Chauhan (Former Players and Asst. Coach), Shri Ranjit Singh and Mandeep Antil (Players ) and Dr. M.P. Das (Physiotherapist of Indian Hockey Team).

Chhatrapati Shivaji Samaj Kalyan and Shiksha Prachar Samiti has been providing free school education, stitching courses for women and is also running old age home for the benefit of the downtrodden and needy.
