Black Women's Photography On Exhibit At New York City's Lincoln Center Show Opens Feb. 1, 2008

Jan. 24, 2008 - PRLog -- "underEXPOSED: Black Women Photographers in America" opens Feb. 1, 2008 in the Freida & Roy Furman Gallery at the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City. An opening reception will be held from 6 to 9pm Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008 at the gallery.

This show is a traveling photography exhibit which will travel around the United States through 2008. The curator for the show is Ton`ya Leigh, a New York City-based Art Director and photographer.

Eight photographers are participating in the exhibit and the photography featured includes travel and nature photography to portrait and photojournalism work. The exhibiting photographers are: Patrina Hall-Madry, Deborah Terry, June Truesdale, Sheila SL Dawkins, Ton'ya Leigh, Michaelle Chapoteau, Noreen Mallory and Carucha L. Meuse.

'underEXPOSED: Black Women Photographers in America" is sponsored by Reconstruct Art, a New York City-based non-profit 501(c)3 youth arts education program.
