Full Eternity Rings… Eternal love
The history of the eternity ring is very closely related to that of the wedding ring - that is a ring, or circle of metal, that has no beginning and no end – in other words is “eternal”.
Eternity rings are stone set, often with diamonds. A ‘full eternity’ ring has stones set completely around the shank, whereas a ‘half eternity’ only has them halfway round. Some couples have ‘half eternity’ rings for practical purposes – ‘full eternity’ rings cannot be easily adjusted, and can be uncomfortable to wear because of the depth of the shank between the fingers.
With the stones set around the shank, they can be diamonds, which is the most traditional. There are many other jewels such as Rubies, sapphires, emeralds, topaz etc. This can be related to the month the recipient is born, as an eternity ring with birth stones will then have double meaning.
A full eternity ring costs 2 to 3 times the price of a similar half eternity, because there are more diamonds in it.
Because a full eternity ring cannot usually be adjusted for finger size, they need to be custom ordered and made.
Some women prefer the half eternity ring as all the stones can be seen.
One of the many jewellers that have a wide range of full eternity rings in different metals, with different gems is H.Samuel http://www.hsamuel.co.uk/
Eternity rings signify everlasting love; the full eternity ring is never ending. It’s give to the person who feels you will be with forever. It can be given before or after marriage, invariably it is given after marriage.
Not all eternity rings are for women, they are ones for men, and they are half eternity rings and are chunkier in their ring width.
