Follow on Google News | Drive Kids To Be Fit Has Opened Registration For Its School ChallengeDrive Kids to be Fit, a non-profit organization dedicated to combating childhood obesity, has developed a fun, free program for students and their parents. Registration began on January 15, 2008 and ends on February 15, 2008.
Mikhaiel and his team have developed a number of fitness and nutrition programs. However, this is their biggest project. Most recently, the efforts of Drive Kids to be Fit were recognized with a proclamation from the City of Los Angeles, presented by the office of City Councilman Jack Weiss. A number of corporations have expressed interest in sponsorship and actress Vanessa Williams recorded a PSA to get the word out. In addition to the school activities, Drive Kids to be Fit is working on a fun run, a summer camp and participating in a documentary about a young child struggling with obesity. Drive Kids to be Fit is a community partner in the National Institute of Health’s We Can! Program.
