Jan. 8, 2008 - PRLog -- Edison, NJ – CheckPoint HR, LLC, an innovator and leading Administrative Service Organization (ASO) that offers small- to mid-size organizations an integrated Human Resource Management System (HRMS) for human resources, payroll services and benefits administration, today announced that Nickelodeon Family Suites by Holiday Inn® has selected CheckPoint HR’s Web-Based Human Resource Management System (HRMS) to automate payroll and HR processes as well as deploy a centralized portal for employee self-service.  The world’s first Nick Hotel, Nickelodeon Family Suites by Holiday Inn, is leveraging CheckPoint HR to automate all aspects of the company’s HR lifecycle, and transform its HR operations into a paperless environment.

“Our HR department was completely manually driven and we were physically running out of filing space within our offices,” said Chris Walsh, senior training manager, Nickelodeon Family Suites. “Beyond our office space issue, we realized that we were using an excessive amount of paper. With CheckPoint HR, we have eliminated the manual aspect and transformed our HR processes into a paperless office environment.”

Supporting over 750 employees including seasonal, part-time, and full-time staff, Nickelodeon Family Suites is now utilizing CheckPoint HR to proactively manage its human resources operations, including payroll, training and employee self-service.  With the addition of computer kiosks in the hotel lobby, employees can login on their breaks to view certain aspects of their personnel file and access payroll information, such as paycheck history, W-2s, etc.  This capability has already reduced the questions to the HR department.

“There are fewer interruptions from hourly and salaried team members since they are able to view files online from any location through an Internet connection,” added Walsh. “Additionally, we have seen a decrease in the amount of paperwork for us to process as Nickelodeon Family Suites team members can administer their own changes with CheckPoint HR.  Looking to early 2008, we hope to utilize CheckPoint HR’s integrated online applicant tracking system to automate the entire hiring process.”

The Wilshire Group, an affiliate of CheckPoint HR, provides a broad range of employee benefits procurement solutions. “We are currently working with Nickelodeon Family Suites on establishing a cost effective benefits program for their diverse employee population,” said Michael Bock, partner, CheckPoint HR and The Wilshire Group.  “Our ASO model was successful in streamlining Nickelodeon Family Suites payroll, HR functions, and benefits administrative functions while reducing overall costs.”

Prior to implementing CheckPoint HR, weekly payroll was administered manually. “With CheckPoint HR we have automated previous manual processes including entering tips, processing terminations, and requesting vacation pay,” said Delia McCrimon, financial assistant, Nickelodeon Family Suites. “The system is saving us about three hours of data entry time each week, versus our previous tool from a leading payroll provider that forced us to manually process payroll.”
