SARASOTA – Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is slated to open a second walk-in medical center Jan. 15 at 6130 S. Tamiami Trail, just north of Clark Road. This time last year, Sarasota Memorial opened its first walk-in center on University Parkway near US 301. Staffed by Sarasota Memorial’s board-certified emergency, internal medicine and family physicians, the Walk-In Medical Centers provide comprehensive walk-in services to meet the community’s urgent and routine health needs. “There is a real demand for quick, high quality medical care outside of the hospital, especially in high growth areas of our community,” said Michael Harrington, Chief Operating Officer. “With convenient locations and extended hours, our walk-in centers help address that need.”
