Dec. 28, 2007 - PRLog -- Collectors Car Parts Heathrow, 43/45 Sipson way, Sipson, West Drayton, Middlesex, UB7 0DW, are proud to celebrate 25 years in business. Opening the doors for the first time back on 5th November 1982 Mr. Paul Skilliter, who started Practical Classic's Magazine, opened my shop.

Many of the car club reps were there to see the opening back in 1982, and we had a reception in the Sipson Community Centre opposite, where I presented Paul Skilliter with a painting of a racing 'E' Type Jaguar which he greatly admired. Some of you may re-call the opening back in November 1982.

Over the years I have concentrated on new old stock (N.O.S) purchased from motor factor shops clearing out the old stock, also from garages, autojumbles and auctions and any one else who wants to clear out old car parts.

Some of the larger companies like GKN, I purchased several tons of stock and like Payen Gaskets of Slough I cleared tons of car and commercial gaskets or Mr. T.J Washington who sold me 14 tons of new old stock some of you may recall Mr. Washington purchased Clares of Knightshill, South London back in the early 1980's.

I remember buying a very large quantity of Lucas parts from Atkinsons of Paddington that Midnight Motors of Wembley had bought out, I also had previously purchased large amounts from them in the old days.

As you can gather from all this I now have “The Largest Varied Stock In Britain of British car spares” and probably the best amount of spares catalogues you would wish to see to help with identifying parts.

One very large stock I have accumulated is Exhaust systems, I have for years been clearing new old stock of British, European and Japanese systems from exhaust specialists up and down the country. Which has lead me to start my own manufacturing business in Egham, Surrey making mild steel and stainless steel exhausts to pattens that I purchased over many years.

The name of the garage is The Practical Classic Garage, Units 13 & 14 Clockhouse Mushrooms, Clockhouse Lane East, Egham, Surrey. TW20 8PF. Tel 01784 431000 or fax 01784 437824, our pattens go back to the early 1930's up to the early 1980's covering about 50 years, we can make one off's, to large quantity's for clubs and garages at competitive prices.

Why not visit our web site http://www.collectorscarparts-heathrow.co.uk, to get an update of the many parts we sell or recondition, we will be very happy to hear from you.

My shop is open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 4pm Saturdays, closed on Sundays and I don't close for lunch (sarny in one hand phone in the other) and a shop crammed full of old car parts, come and see for yourself, but don't leave it too long as the Heathrow expansion and third runway will not be long before it will start, this might be the end of Collectors Car Parts Heathrow.

The first words of many people coming in to the shop is 'This is like Aladdin's Cave, how do you know where every thing is kept" and my answer to that is, I know where it is and I know what it is because I put it there, so don't be surprised when you visit Collectors Car Parts Heathrow, but give me a telephone call first to see if I have it in stock and the cost, if the line is engaged try again as I am always busy.

Warning..... Never assume we haven't got it!
