Number One Hand Cyclist in the World Secures Sponsorship on Journey to Beijing 2008 Paralympics

Dec. 26, 2007 - PRLog -- Alejandro Albor, the number one hand cyclist in the world http://www.awonalbor.com  has secured a sponsorship from the disability website www.disaboom.com for his quest for the Gold Medal in Beijing 2008. Filmmaker Steven C. Barber of Vanilla Fire Productions http://www.vanillafire.com secured Mr. Albor's sponsorship after Mr. Albor's agreement to be included him in Mr. Barber current documentary film "Challenge Alaska" (working title), the story of 28 paraplegics who pushed their wheel chairs 267 miles in 6 days. Mr. Albor won the event this past summer.

Mr. Barber will be documenting Alejandro as he trains for his events in Beijing staring with the 2008 Miami Marathon in January, The Los Angeles Marathon in March and the Colorado National Wheel Chair Races in June. Mr. Barber will then go to Beijing for the 2008 Paralympic Games to document Mr. Albor's attempt for the Gold Medal. Alejandro won Silver in Athens in 2004 and lost by only 2-seconds and is now focused on winning the Gold more than ever before. He is 44 and this will be his final attempt.

Mr. Barber's production company Vanilla Fire Productions will be in Beijing in full force not only documenting Mr. Albor's performance, but the other 4000 athletes who will be competing in the games in September 2008. Mr. Barber and Mr. Albor became friends while filming in Alaska in the summer of 2007.

The narration of the documentary will be performed by Oscar nominated Emmy winning Blues Brother Dan Aykroyd. Multi Grammy-Winner Clint Black is on board donating a song on behalf of Equity Music Group, "A Better Life", in Barber's independent film, CHALLENGE ALASKA (working title) with permission from the copyright owners (Blackened Music & Black In The Saddle Songs) of the musical composition.
