NRL announces 5pm Grand Final kick-off time in Sydney

Dec. 24, 2007 - PRLog -- The National Rugby League has reached an agreement with television partners and will now screen the 2008 Grand Final at 5pm in Sydney, Australia.

The kick-off time of the NRL Grand Final had been hotly debated in Australia and the new time slot was a better fit for most parties involved.

Stake holders from the television broadcaster were insistent that they receive no reduction in night time matches and they were traded 2 night time semi finals to fill the void the from new Grand Final time slot.

The NRL is the national sport of Australia and is comprised of 15 local and 1 international (New Zealand) team.
