Drive Kids to be Fit was established to help overweight and obese children develop life-long healthy behavior. Among its successful programs is a free 15-week fitness and nutrition challenge which involves trainers and nutritionists working with children at area schools on a weekly basis. The next challenge, starting in January of 2008, will end with a fitness run to be held in the San Fernando Valley. Drive Kids to be Fit is a community partner in the National Institute of Health’s We Can! Program, a nationwide initiative to reduce childhood obesity.
