The award recognizes the innovative way that its customers and partners use and support Vignette’s technology.  The winners were announced during Vignette Village, the company’s annual EMEA user conference, which recently took place in Barcelona, Spain and has been hailed by attendees as the most successful Village to date.

The event also saw the reiteration of Vignette’s most recent partnership announcement,
demonstrating its continued commitment to delivering innovative solutions through collaboration with the industry’s leading organisations. Vignette has formed a global partnership with leading interactive mobile applications provider weComm to extend rich, interactive Web experiences reliably to the mobile channel. Under the terms of the agreement, weComm will become a Vignette Digital Services Hub partner.  

The event provided a platform for some of the region’s leading companies to meet and discuss their challenges and experience in driving advanced online interactions with their customers. There were keynote speeches from executives from leading mobile operators T-Mobile and Vodacom highlighting how they are improving the customer experience using Vignette. In addition, Vignette President and CEO Mike Aviles and Leo Brunnick, Senior VP, Products & Marketing laid out Vignette’s strategy for delivering the online customer experience by providing the latest Content Management, Portal, Collaboration, Imaging & Workflow and Rich Media tools.

Customer Award Details:

West Region EMEA – France’s Société Generale turned to Vignette V7 Portal, Content and Portal Suite to deliver a Next-Generation Web Presence solution to bring a new eBanking experience to its five million online customers.

North Region EMEA – The Middle East Broadcasting Centre (MBC) is using the Vignette Digital Services Hub to power the online presence of MBC television, and Vignette’s Next-Generation Web solution for MBC.net. This has enabled the launch of dynamic rich media sites in a short timeframe to offer 20,000 daily visitors programme information and clips.

East Region EMEA – Both of T-Mobile Germany’s customer service channels – its web site and its call centre solution – are powered by Vignette. These channels enable T-Mobile to deliver superior service to its more than 34 million customers in Germany.

South Region EMEA Award – Generalitat de Catalunya is using Vignette technology (Content Management, Portal and Dynamic Portal) to create a rich and solid web platform, allowing the optimization of numerous initiatives and services while reducing costs. It has already launched 15 portals and aims eventually to launch more than 100.

Enterprise Document Management EMEA – Nedbank in South Africa chose to use a Vignette Imaging and Workflow solution to deliver more competitive services while complying with technical and financial regulations. The first phase of the rollout provided a 40% improvement in the throughput while delivering a 30% cost reduction.

North Region Partner of the Year – London-based Morse Group has continuously demonstrated its commitment to building a Vignette Academy and developing a joint proposition in the Next Generation Web Solution area.

East Region Partner of the Year – PXP Software AG of Austria has provided invaluable support for a number of  key accounts across its region.

South Region Partner of the Year – Indra did a great job of integrating the complete Vignette suite in a  complex project in Spain over the last year.

West Region Partner of the Year – HP IPG cooperated with Vignette both in Belgium and in France on a number of important projects for Imaging and Workflow solutions.

Collaborative Partner of the Year – everis has provided support in critical projects, pushing Vignette ahead of the competition.

Imaging and Workflow Partner of the Year – HP has offered continuous support and lead referral to Vignette’s Imaging and Workflow business.

Next-Generation Web Partner of the Year – ioko has played an integral role in the development and deployment of Vignette’s Digital Services Hub implementations.
