COVERS
Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age and Adrien Brody (‘The Pianist, ‘King Kong,’ ‘The Darjeeling Limited’).
We caught up with Josh Homme and Troy Van Leeuwen of Queens of the Stone Age to discuss their latest album ‘Era Vulagris’, touring and find out their opinions on first impressions. We also created a film’s plot via hilarious role play. Expect a fast paced, high-energy read.
Adrien Brody invited us out to catch up with him for a day in Paris to shoot a portfolio of portraits and discuss his latest work on Wes Andersons’ masterpiece, ‘The Darjeeling Limited’.

AND ACTION!
We met up with The Hives to get some tales from the studios while making their latest fully charged record, ‘The Black & White Album’. We also took the opportunity to get some very important style tips.

INTRODUCING...
Brazilian trio, Bondo Do Role take us through a typical day, The Scare explain themselves, Ju$t Another Rich Kid gives BLAG a world-wide exclusive; how he chose his infamous name and music directors D.A.R.Y.L (Gallows, Lethal Bizzle) and Giorgio Testi (Babyshambles, Dirty Pretty Things) tell us all about how they got started.

ART
He’s been called ‘The Godfather of street art’ and his work is ubiquitous all over the world, Shepard Fairey aka Obey caught up with us on the phone to chat about how his work began and the story behind his latest London exhibition ‘NineteenEightyFouria’.

FILM
Anne-Marie Duff talks about her road to success from stage to screen. Daft Punk explain their stunningly photogenic film ‘Electroma’ with some surprising revelations. And British treasure Peter Hook joins Sally A. Edwards in interviewing one of the UK most talked about new actors Sam Riley for his role in Anton Corbijn’s ‘Control’.

MUSIC
Juliette & The Licks gave BLAG their first ever all band print interview and of course we gave them the challenge of the BLAG card game - see how they got on. We met up with The Twang in a north London pub to find out what it really took to get signed. We travelled out to Paris to connect with Justice and The Rapture to talk about their involvement in Nokia’s ever growing Trends Labs events.

FASHION + MUSIC
Amerie and Kelly Rowland (Destiny’s Child) joined us in London to model some of Europe’s most exciting designers current collections.

FASHION + FILM
‘American Gangster’ star Lymari Nadal told us all about her incredible background not only as an actress but fully qualified Chemist.

TEN ESSENTIAL
We have two guest writers this issue, both with a brilliant sense of humour. Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland wrote his ‘Ten Essential Ways to Keep Your Wife Happy’ - Yes, it really is true and ‘Planet Terror’ star Freddy Rodriguez gives his ‘Ten Essential Tips for a Healthy Relationship.’

QUOTES ABOUT BLAG
“The style magazine has faltered but BLAG could help get its groove back.” The Independent

“A well put together glossy, the magazine has retained the fun voice of its origins.” The Guardian

“(BLAG magazine is) …an extraordinary, diverse, well-designed, uncatagorisable publication with some notably strong images. It manages to be highbrow, lowbrow, edgy and cultured, all at the same time, with a strong centre of gravity. Clever.” Nicholas Coleridge, MD, Conde Nast
