Brooklyn Fashion Week{end} Flaunts Elected Elite, Couture Designers, and Crowning Partners

Oct. 14, 2007 - PRLog -- This year’s Brooklyn Fashion Week{end} Circus Couture showcase proves to have all the right ingredients for success. High-profile elected officials, top-notch sponsors and seasoned designers have fashionably assembled to support the Spring/Summer 2008 collections and surrounding events. Generously endorsed by Brooklyn Borough President, Marty Markowitz and his office, Councilwoman Letitia James, and the DUMBO Improvement District, BK Fashion Week{end} will launch Friday, October 19th, and run consecutively through Sunday, October 21st, at the Tobacco Warehouse, a 19th century landmark on the banks of the East River, in Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park. The 3-day event will boast substance and couture style from emerging designers and is open to 3000 invited guests including fashion and style opinion makers, fashion journalists, mainstream and local media, celebrities, retail, entertainment executives and for the first time ever at a major fashion show, the general public. Closing Night will feature a special performance by Sony Music Siren, Kat De Luna known for her global smash hit, "Whine Up" featuring Elephant Man.

Superior designers will mark the stylish and star-studded start For Brooklyn Fashion Week{end}. Malan Breton, whom has catapulted into American pop culture on Bravo TV's Project Runway 3, will deliciously kick-off the opening night festivities with the debut of his acclaimed self-titled line, Malan by Malan Breton.
