Oct. 10, 2007 - PRLog -- ETC Productions and The Supporting Characters present the world premiere of New Orleans by Lloyd Pace, directed by Cynthia Granville.  New Orleans revisits the old City of Dreams; a woman (Molly Callahan) looks back as a young girl in the 1950's and tries to piece together the puzzle of who she is, who her family was, and why something had to happen in a hotel in New Orleans that changed them forever.  Opening Friday November 2 at Producers Club Theatre--The Crowne, 358 W 44th St., New York City.

Mr. Pace's lyrical style and vividly original characters embody universal questions--how does our past shape our future?  can we reshape ourselves if we understand ourselves?  how do we learn to love?--against the backdrop of New Orleans, and the resonance of what has happened there.

The eleven year old Ms. Callahan has appeared in the Critics Choice finals of NYC's Samuel French Festivals and various performances and readings in Westchester County.  Others in the cast of eleven include Bruce Barton (Busted Jesus Comix, Germans in Paris), Francis Callahan (No Exit, Moon for the Misbegotten), Tony White (Winter's Tale, Rope), Katherine Parks (Nancy with an N, Night of the Iguana) and Cynthia Granville (With and Without, Talley's Folly, the upcoming feature The Mind), the artistic director of The Supporting Characters, a company seeking to develop new work from initial collaborative lab sessions through public performance.   Mr. Pace is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Art.  His plays have been seen Off-Off Broadway in New York City; Pace University; Lenox, MA's Shakespeare and Co.; and Stamford Center for the Arts among others.
